7/12 2-009-029 General Objective

The purpose of this component is to provide educators with increased knowledge and skills in using the Accelerated Mathematics Program.

Specific Objectives

Upon completion of this component, participants will be able to:

1. Use accelerated math technology to generate practice sheets at each student’s current achievement level. 2. Acquire and use specific data to improve each student’s performance. 3. Instantly score all work. 4. Read individual diagnosis information. 5. Look at data and zero in on specific problem areas and solve them. 6. Adjust the practice sheets using previous results. 7. Read a Practice TOPS Report for each student. 8. Read a Diagnostic Report for each student. 9. See how Accelerated Math Extended Response Libraries align with textbook scope and sequence. 10. Provide extra work for specified problem areas. 11. Order and reorder objectives to meet current textbook format.

Description of Activities

Participants will engage in a variety of activities designed to assist them in achieving the specific objectives of the workshop. The activities may include lectures, demonstrations, and development of curriculum materials by the participants.

Evaluation of Participants

Evaluation of the specific objectives will be determined by the activity leader or designee through analysis of student performance data affected by training activities, portfolios maintained by the training participant, documented observation by administrators, rubrics developed for special area curriculum, teacher-provided test results/grade books, or curriculum alignment data.

Evaluation of Activity

An online evaluation for this activity will be conducted through the Santa Rosa Professional Growth System.
