Aloha Outrigger ‘ohana,

I join Human Resources in welcoming Craig Wienckowski to the Outrigger ‘ohana as corporate director, finance. Craig starts with us today and reports to me.

In his role, Craig will represent Outrigger with key owners; establish effective processes, procedures and relationships in support of Outrigger business ventures, both in Hawai‘i and internationally; provide asset management support for owned properties; and provide financial and administrative guidance for potential development opportunities.

A multilingual finance professional, Craig is a great fit as his experience is in a wide variety of operation, management and investment platforms, including hotels, real estate, golf courses and real estate-backed debt.

For the past seven years, Craig was a director at Ishin Hotels Group, a hotel investment, asset and hotel management company, in their Portfolio Management Department in Tokyo, Japan. Previously, Craig was manager/associate for the Portfolio Management and Operations Departments of Goldman Sachs in Tokyo, and held a similar position as a contract employee for Archon Group Korea, a commercial real estate investment management and mortgage loan company.

Craig holds a Bachelor of Arts double major in German Literature/Language and Political Science/International Relations from University at Albany, State University of New York. He also studied abroad in Wuerzburg, Germany, earning a Bachelor of Arts in their Study Abroad program from Julius-Maximilians-Universitaet Wuerzburg.

As you might imagine, Craig is fluent in German and can hold his own conversing, reading and writing Japanese.

He is a member of Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA) Japan, an organization of professionals responsible for proactively increasing asset values on behalf of hotel owners worldwide.

Originally from upstate New York, Craig enjoys playing guitar, sports, hiking, reading and staying healthy by hitting the gym.
