There is a train of thought that feels you can run a full enquiry with young foundation stage children, however most of the practitioners agree that you work with small groups developing thinking and questioning skills in preparation for enquiries possibly introduced in Yr 1 – The following are suggestions should you wish to introduce P4C with foundation children and will work easily as well as alternative methods to develop thinking in KS 1 Work in small groups around a table e.g. 6 week minimum to allow development 6s with teacher present for 15- 20 mins per group Ask the group to ask you questions e.g. Yes / No Maybe questions Read a story e.g. The Gruffalo
