2 Day Basic Digital Photography Class at the DPS Youngtown Office located at W. Peoria Ave and 111th Ave on the southwest corner Dick Parkans, DPS Photo Lab, x2477, cell 602-818-2670

October 20-21, 2009 Day 1 – 0800-1700 hours Day 2 – 1400 – 2300 hours

This is a digital camera school. Your camera and flash must be capable of operating on “manual”. Please read and bring the instruction manuals with you. Topics to be covered, but not limited to, include the following:

 How to operate your manual or automatic digital camera using ALL MANUAL SETTINGS  f-stops and shutter speeds  Depth of Field  Light Meter  Electronic Flash using manual settings  Problems encountered taking pictures  Basic night photography

Students will need to bring the following to class

 Camera - Must Have Manual Settings  You Need To Read and bring The Camera and Flash Instruction Books  Normal Lens for Your Camera  Electronic Flash  5’ Flash Sync Cord (if you have one)  Tripod (if you have one)  Cable Shutter Release for Your Specific Camera (if you have one)

 2 Sets of Camera Batteries - AA Batteries Will Be Provided  Scales (Measuring)  Flashlight  Rain Gear and Umbrella – we will be working outside. Dress comfortably!  CDs are provided  Reflective Traffic Safety Vest
