The Nordic Centre at Fudan University in Shanghai, China, offers a traineeship from March to June 2013.

The Nordic Centre is a Nordic-Chinese university cooperation between 27 Nordic member universities and Fudan University, Shanghai. The Centre promotes and supports research and educational cooperation between the member universities. It has its own building at Fudan University. Employed at the office at Fudan University are a Nordic Programme Manager, a Chinese coordinator and a couple of student assistants. The trainee will be part of this international team and work in close connection with the staff at the Nordic Centre in Shanghai as well as the Nordic Centre secretariat at Aalborg University.

The responsibilities of the trainee will be:  To write newsletters  To write and up-date information on the web site  To make LinkedIn groups for specific activities  To help with Nordic Centre activities  To take care of the general communication with the member universities  To help with the Nordic Centre library

We expect you to speak and write English at a high level, as all communication will be in English. Knowledge of Chinese language and experience with Chinese relations will be a major advantage, but is not an ultimate prerequisite.

The working hours will be 25-30 hours a week. The traineeship is unpaid, however we offer free language course plus another Fudan course which can be chosen from a wide range of courses. Furthermore, a contribution to the accommodation is provided. We will help you to find accommodation near by the office, possibly together with other international students studying at Fudan University.

The internship position takes up one of the student exchange places that your university and Fudan University have agreed upon. This is to ensure that you as intern get the official status as student at Fudan University and the rights connected to that.
