POSITION(s) SCREENING ______

Please provide written responses to the questions below. Feel free to use another sheet. A resume may be attached. We request that you return your questionnaire at least 24 hours before your screening time.

If you are screening for Chair or Associate Chair, the screening will be 10 minutes. For all other positions, the screening will be 5 minutes. The first half of the time should be spent making a personal statement answering the question “Why are you running and what will you do if elected?” The balance of the time will be spent taking questions from the committee.

1. As you understand them, what are the duties of this office? What time commitment does this office involve?

2. Officers elected now will serve until the next Convention (1-2 years). Can you commit to serving out this term?

3. Under what circumstances would you miss a meeting?

4. Why are you running for this office? What specific things you would like to accomplish?

5. What special skills and/or qualifications do you have for this position? What has been your past involvement in the DFL?

6. Would you be willing to accept a position other than the one for which you screened? If so, which position(s)?

7. Do you support the DFL endorsement process? Will you publicly support only the DFL endorsed candidates?

8. Additional comments you feel would help this committee’s decision.
