This Award celebrates interns who have shown exceptional commitment and ambition to learn new skills and epitomize Creative & Cultural Skills’ values:

GUIDANCE NOTES

The Creative & Cultural Skills Awards recognise organisations and individuals working to support young talent to build careers in the creative sector. The Awards also seek to recognise exemplary apprentices and interns working in the sector. The deadline for all nominations is 5pm on Friday 8 th January 2016. Shortlisted nominations will be announced on Monday 8th February 2016. Award winners will be announced at a ceremony at The Backstage Centre on 2 March 2016. 1 WHO CAN MAKE A NOMINATION Anyone may make a nomination by completing this form and forwarding it to [email protected]. If you are unable to complete this form online or require this in a different format please contact 020 7015 1800. Self-nominations are permitted. Nominations for more than one category are permitted, however must be submitted on separate forms.

2 COMPLETING THE NOMINATION FORM Please complete the nomination form completely and accurately, following the instructions in each section closely.

It is important that you provide as much information as possible and explain what the nominee’s contribution has been.

4 ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

Award 9 The Intern of the Year Award is open to interns working in Design, Music, Craft, Jewellery, Cultural Heritage, or Theatre who have shown exceptional ambition and talent.

Nominations may include an individual interns or up to 3 interns working over the same period at the same organisation in the same team.

Nominees for this award must either (1) currently be an intern, or (2) have finished their internship after 5th March 2015.

If you are intending to nominate an intern for this award please seek their permission before doing so.

Nominations for award 9 will be assessed against the following criteria:

- Nominee has shown an outstanding level of application and commitment to learning throughout their internship

- Nominee has displayed the ability to make a significant difference to the productivity or efficiency of their place of work

- Nominee has brought new ideas and ways of working to their place of work

10 5 TIMING OF NOMINATIONS The deadline for all awards is 5pm on Friday 8 th January 2016.

All decisions made by the Creative & Cultural Skills Awards panel are final and not subject to review or appeal.

6 SHORTLIST Creative & Cultural Skills will discard nominations that do not meet the criteria. If the nomination is deemed to meet the criteria the nomination will be put forward to the independent advisory group (IAG) and eligible to be shortlisted. The IAG will select three nominations to be put forward to the independent final judging panel.

Shortlisted nominations will be announced on Monday 8th February 2016 via www.ccskills.org.uk .

7 CEREMONY Shortlisted nominees will be invited to attend an evening ceremony at The Backstage Centre on 2 March 2016.

Please note that two tickets to this event will be free of charge for shortlisted nominees. Travel expenses will not be recompensed. If you are shortlisted for the award, please ensure that you, or a member of your organisation is able to attend the ceremony.

Only one trophy will be provided per award.
