Symptoms: what to do?
Symptom: water is leaking from the iron like a shower: S range only (S3, S4, i-S5, i-S6) and X1:
The customer is complaining because some water leaks from the iron like a shower even if he had rinsed regularly the generator as shown in the owner manual. The trouble happens only when the machine is switched off for a long period (more than ~8 hours) and he is re-used for a new ironing session. When the generator is ready (green light is on, indicating that the steam is ready), the customer activates the steam function for the first time and water leaks from the iron.
The problem disappears completely after several long jets of steam.

2 Bureau Technique
The water level in the boiler is too high (boiler must be filled with only 0.4liter of water). Trouble is coming from a leakage of the boiler due a bad waterproof of the tube of the self priming system when bonded at the bottom of the water reservoir. o Check the water reservoir: if there is a leak coming from the fitting as shown at the picture (please, see below), replace it by a new one (120.0030.750). o Drain away the pressure inside the boiler and rinse the boiler 2x with warm tap water only. Then, check the appliance before send it back to the customer.
Water leaks from the fitting between the self priming system of the pump and water reservoir

Symptom: big jet of steam (sometimes dirty)
The boiler is full of deposit and water is saturated of impurity (salt and/or mud) o Rinse 2x the boiler with warm tap water only
Temperature of the soleplate is too low o 1st Check power supply of the iron (wiring from generator to iron) o 2nd Or change iron’s thermostat
Example of a big jet of steam
Symptom: the iron is spitting drops of water (some small drops of water on clothes/cover)
Temperature of the soleplate is too low o 1st Check power supply of the iron (wiring from generator to iron) o 2nd Or change iron’s thermostat
Temperature of the soleplate is OK: the anti-calefaction layer inside the soleplate is damaged and out of order o Change the soleplate
Example of some drops of water on clothes/cover
4 Bureau Technique
Soleplate’s heating control to be measured when the iron control lever is on MIN, oo, ooo or Max position:
MIN: 130 to 150°C (266 to 302°F) oo 150 to 170°C (302 to 338°F) ooo 180 to 200°C (356 to 392°F) MAX 200 to 220°C (356 to 428°F)
Temperature measurement can be done with a “K” probe as shown:

Process for Premium S3 (760), Magic S4 (755), Magic i-S5 (760), Magic i-S6 (765), LauraStar X1 (766), Steamup G4 (745), Steamup i-G5 (740), Evolution G4 (746), Evolution i-G5 (741), First G1 (731), Steamax G2 (735)
A. Switch the appliance OFF.
B. For S3, S4, i-S5, i-S6 and X1 only: check the water reservoir. Does the reservoir have a leakage as shown in page 3? If yes, replace it by a new one (120.0030.750).
C. Rinse 2x the boiler with tap water only. Appliance must be cold before start to proceed.
D. Replace the drain cap and switch the appliance ON
E. Wait until appliance is ready and check if the iron is still spitting or doing drops of water. Does the problem have been solved? 1) If yes, problem is resolved and after a complete final checking, appliance can be send back to customer. 2) If no, check the temperature of the soleplate.
Soleplate’s temperature checking
i. If temperature is to low (or soleplate is cold), check if there is a disconnected wire along the wiring from generator to the 4 positions terminal block (425.0000.703) inside the iron. If the wiring is OK, change the iron thermostat (401.0000.750) Thermostat 0- 240°C.
6 Bureau Technique
What to do when the temperature of the soleplate is too low? 1) Check the plug of the iron inside the generator 2) Connectors must be together
3) Open the iron as shown 4) Check if the wires are well connected
If the connectors inside the generator and the wires on the 4 positions terminal block have been controlled but the soleplate still remains cold, change the iron’s thermostat Thermostat (401.0000.750) on soleplate Removing/substitution of the thermostat
3) If some spitting/drops of water after having check the wiring and changed thermostat are remaining, it means that the anti-calefaction layer inside the steam passage of the soleplate is damaged and can’t be repaired. In that case, it is possible to exchange the soleplate only or if required, to replace the complete iron by a new one.
F. After having exchanged the soleplate/iron, make a complete final checking of the appliance before to send it back to the customer.
