LOCATION: Stand #85 I-95 Rest Area North Bound Sumter County

NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES IN LOCATION: I-95 North Bound and Sumter County Area Traffic

Helpers Needed: One Part-Time or Full-Time Helper/Driver

HOURS WORKED: 9:00am – 1:00 pm (ADDITIONAL HOURS AS NEEDED) Facility is open 7 DAYS PER WEEK (INCLUDING HOLIDAYS)

CONDITION OF STAND: GOOD

BID CLOSING DATE: June 21, 2016 @5pm

COMMENTS: This is a vending shelter building divided into two areas. The back portion is a storage area and the front portion houses the vending machines. There are three bottle drink vending machines, two all-purpose snack machines, and one hot beverage machine. All machines except the coffee machine has card readers. The vending facility is located in Santee in Clarendon County. The blind licensed vendor must ensure that a qualified driver is available. Data from last 12 months at facility. The gross sales for the past 12 months were $85,362 and the net earnings for the past 12 months were $54,155.

HOURS OF OPERATION: All Blind Licensed Vendors operating vending facilities on Interstate Highways must work between the hours of 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Monday-Friday or hours as approved by BEP Counselor and available to meet as needed with sales persons, delivery persons, repair personnel, and BEP Counselor/Staff. The BLV must also work Saturday and/or Sunday to ensure all machines are filled and working properly. All vendors must work at least 37.5 hours per week which includes time for securing supplies, banking, and other facility related activities. Hours may be adjusted for seasonal periods by requesting this change through their designated BEP Counselor.

In order to be qualified for selection applicants will have to meet the following qualifying items as verified by BEP:

1. Valid Servsafe certification, on file in main or district office. 2. Valid liability insurance, certificate on file in main or district office. 3. Owe no debts to Department of Revenue or suppliers. Verified through your counselor by letter from DOR or three- way phone call verification.

If the above items are not verified by your counselor, you will not be eligible to bid and you will receive a letter stating the reason(s). Each bidder is strongly encouraged to visit this stand location before completing a bid application.
