Meeting date: December 10, 2014 Location: Media center, Alta View Elementary School Present: Board members: Jason Williams, Kellie Collinson , Scott Sullivan, Sally Jones, Amy Parker Teachers: Tami Malan, Karen Medlin, Libby McShinsky

I. Meeting called to order: 3:20pm

II. Approval of last meeting minutes Minutes were corrected to reflect attendance at October SCC meeting.

III. New Business

1. Alta View Rebuild Confirmed that at the October District meeting, Alta View was selected to be rebuilt. The back playground area will be used to build the new school and the old school will then be demolished. Planning will start Summer 2015 and there will be an opportunity for the School to be involved in some of the planning. The actual building will commence in 2016. So far no other details are known.

2. CSIP (Karen Medlin) No need to review during this meeting

3. Land Trust Budget The Land Trust request has been modified following a meeting with the accountants showed that both Workmans Comp and FICA needed to be paid by the school. In addition the rollover was less than projected. The Land Trust contribution for 2015-2016 will drop slightly.

4. The situation with this is not getting any better. There are numerous issues with lighting and drainage. Lighting is a very large problem and the one pole that could host a new light in the car park on the North side of the building belongs to Rocky Mountain Power and they are not inclined to assist at all. Karen Medlin has agreed to continue the dialog with Rocky Mountain Power to see if they can convinced to allow a light to be installed.

Bus pickup is an awful problem that has resulted in a safe pickup area for other vehicles not being available. The District has visited the school and reviewed the problem and is looking at different options. There is still a chance they may be able to propose a temporary resolution.

One proposal from the SCC is to ask whether Crocus Street (on the west side of the school) can be modified to run one way only. This proposal will go to the City.

IV. Next SCC Meetings

1. Proposed meetings for January 27, March 24 and April 28 in the Media Center - Approved
