Invitation for Member's Contributions

Invitation for Member's Contributions

As agreed at the AGM in June 2016, from September 2016, BAPT will be inviting all members to contribute to aspects of BAPT activity and areas of work.

Members are, of course, welcome to decline this invite to contribute at any time.

Any hours 'donated' to BAPT activity can be counted towards member's Continued Professional Development (CPD).

1) In order that BAPT approach members with an area of work which suits their interest and skills, please can you select your preference of BAPT Sub-Committees from the list below. There are examples of the types of activity associated with each of the committees to help you choose (feel free to tick as many options as you like!);

⃤ Professional Practice (eg: responding to Government consultations, developing ideas around children or family post-therapy focus groups, creating a short video or storyboard about being a Play Therapist and your practice for publication)

⃤ Communication and Public Relations (eg: attending a relevant professional event with some BAPT literature, writing an article or book review for the BAPT magazine, contributing to BAPT's Social Media Strategy – Facebook, Twitter, website)

⃤ Membership (eg: developing ideas around increasing membership, promoting the benefits of membership to potential applicants, creating a short video about being a BAPT member for the website)

⃤ Training and Education (eg: developing ideas around new links with Universities and training institutions, supporting the experience of Play Therapy students, contributing towards the new BAPT CPD accreditation scheme)

⃤ Complaints (eg: training in Mediation a part of the BAPT Complaints procedure, learning more about Professional Conduct Procedures, developing awareness of PCP procedures to increase public protection)

⃤ Research (eg:contributing to areas of research in Play Therapy, exploring and collating research already done and promoting its relevance, making links with Play Therapy students and Universities to understand what new research is being written)

Members will be connected to the sub-committee(s) they are interested in and the sub-committee will be responsible for contacting members and supporting them in completing their chosen area of work.

2) Please can you give an approximate amount of hours you feel able to 'donate' to BAPT over the year? This will be used as a rough guide and members will not be 'held' to these hours;

Less than 5 ⃤ 40-50 ⃤ 5-10 ⃤ 50+ ⃤ 10-20 ⃤ 20-30 ⃤ 3) What areas of the UK would you be happy to work in, or travel to? Please select from the list below;

East Anglia ⃤ North West ⃤ London ⃤ South East ⃤ East Midlands ⃤ South Wales ⃤ West Midlands ⃤ South West ⃤ Yorkshire ⃤ Scottish Highlands ⃤ Mid Wales ⃤ Scottish Lowlands ⃤ Northern Ireland ⃤ Ireland / Outside the UK ⃤ North East ⃤

Please note: any travel expenses incurred completing BAPT activity will be paid for by BAPT although they will need to be agreed prior to claim.

4) I do not want to provide this information or participate in BAPT activity this year ⃤

Thank you very much for providing this information and your continued support of BAPT.
