FILING DEADLINE FOR HEARING MATERIALS

Various deadlines associated with hearings were recently modified by 900 KAR 6:050. A chart entitled “Filing Deadlines for Hearing Materials” setting forth such deadlines, as well as the required forms, can now be found at www.chfs.ky.gov/ohp/con.

MEGAVOLTAGE RADIATION SERVICES REPORT

The 2005 Kentucky Megavoltage Radiation Services Report can now be found at www.chfs.ky.gov/ohp/dhppd/dataresgal.com. This report includes linear accelerator procedure utilization for all licensed units operating in Kentucky that are compliant with the Kentucky licensing and regulation reporting requirements. This is the first Megavoltage Report published independently of the Kentucky Hospital Utilization Report.

- 1 MRI ONLINE SURVEY

The Office of Health Policy has created and launched an online survey tool for the purpose of registering all Magnetic Resonance Imaging (“MRI”) units in operation within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The following information shall be submitted by each licensed or exempt MRI provider:

 Name, address, and telephone number of the facility at which each unit is located or to be utilized;  Identification of designated contact person or authorized agent of each facility;  Make, model, and serial number of each unit;  Date the unit became operational at each site;  Whether the unit is free-standing or mobile (if the unit is mobile, then also identify the number of days the unit is operational); and  Number of scans performed during the previous calendar year.

The above information shall be provided by completion of "The Annual Survey of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Services" which may be completed, and transmitted electronically by accessing the Office of Health Policy’s website at http://chfs.ky.gov/ohp/. All questions concerning the completion of the MRI survey should be directed to Beth Sanderson, State Survey Administrator for MRI, Office of Health Policy, 275 East Main Street 3CB, Frankfort, Kentucky 40621. CAPITAL EXPENDITURE MINIMUM

On September 8, 2006, the following regulation was filed: Certificate of Need Expenditure Minimums (900 KAR 6:030E) which annually adjusts the capital expenditure minimum. A copy of the emergency regulation can be obtained at www.chfs.ky.gov/ohp/con.

A public hearing was not requested on this administrative regulation. You may submit written comments regarding this proposed administrative regulation until close of business October 31, 2006.
