Police Department are hosting a New Administrative/Command and Supervisory Seminar: “Managing The Small Law Enforcement Agency”. November 13-14, 2012 at the Sheriffs Training Center, 15950 Mosley Rd., Stapleton, AL. 36578 (8:30AM-4:30PM) presented by Kebcor.com.

This two day course is designed to provide the current Small Agency Executives, and future Small Agency Executives with the tools necessary to be a more effective, efficient and contemporary leader. After discussing and learning these skills he/she will not only be more comfortable in this role, but will know ways to lengthen their tenure, reduce internal agency conflict, reduce turnover, and will be able to find funding for new and innovative agency programs. In addition, students will learn how to successfully resolve internal affairs issues, reduce agency and personal liability, evidence room issues, and plan for future events. Emphasis will be placed on contemporary issues, difficult dilemma’s faced by small agencies, and solution to these problems that have worked around the country. Your Instructor is Chief Paul Schultz with 40 years of law Enforcement experience and now serves as Chief of Police for the Canon City, Colorado Police Department and was previously Director of Peace Officers Standards and Training for the State of Colorado, and Chief of Police for Lafayette, Colorado. He is a Senior Staff Resource instructor for Kebcor.com. He has been a presenter at the I.A.C.P. Conference, taught for Northwestern University Center for Public Safety, has a Masters Degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Colorado at Denver, is a graduate of the FBI LEEDS program, the FBI LEEDA program, the Senior Management Institute for Police and the New England Institute for Law Enforcement Management. He has been Chief of Police of the Year in both Nebraska and Colorado and recipient of the Weber Seavey Award for Quality in Law Enforcement and the Colorado Pioneer Award for Innovation in Law Enforcement.
