Graduation Project Job Shadow Directions - Juniors

 Arrange to job shadow a sponsor at 2 workplace sites. These do not need to be the exact same career, but they MUST be from the same cluster.

 Plan for a minimum of 4 hours at each site. Take notes and collect information which may be used to complete the refection form. This information will become part of your Graduation Project.

 Students are responsible for arranging travel to and from the site.

 If considering education as a career, only one of your job shadows throughout your high school years is permitted to be in our school district. Keep this in mind since this holds true from now until your senior year.

 Remember to follow the Montour School District policy regarding student dress code. Dress appropriately for the site you are visiting.

 If you are attending a job shadow during the school day, submit the Permission Form to Mrs. Krall in room 438 at least two days prior to job shadow visit for it to be recorded as a field trip/excused absence.

 Take the Job Shadow Verification Form with you. Your sponsor must complete, sign, and return this form to Mrs. Forse for you to receive credit for completing the job shadowing component .

 Complete the Job Shadow Reflection form. Use your shadow sponsor as a source to help you with this information. Submit the completed assignment to Mrs. Krall.

 All forms may be emailed to: [email protected]

 Afterwards, send a thank you letter to the job shadow sponsor.

 Enjoy the experience while you learn about the academic, technical and personal skills needed for this career.

If you have any questions or need help finding a job shadow sponsor, see Mrs. Krall, room 438. She can provide ideas in some cases, but will not make the actual contact.
