Electrician - Worked in the construction industry as an electrician for 14 years.

OSHA - In 1992 began his OSHA career.  Started as a Compliance Officer recording more than 500 inspections.

 Became qualified as an electrical expert in Federal Court in 1999.

o Has been a part of 12 court cases, from testifying to helping solicitors understand the electrical terms and standards in Ohio and in Colorado.

 In 2000 became a Compliance Assistance Specialist.

o 100% Safety outreach – proactive towards safety

o Has given numerous presentations and provided training about OSHA and safety.

o In Columbus, OH he was instrumental in developing a partnership between OSHA, the Central Ohio Chapter of NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) and IBEW Local Union 683 and 1105 that centered around the Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, NFPA 70E. This partnership changed the training of electrical apprentices in the U. S.

 Moved to Colorado, worked at Region VIII’s OSHA Office as a Regional Compliance Assistance Specialist and as a Regional Labor Liaison.

o Built credibility within the region/kept workers updated/provided safety training.

o Assisted Ironworker Local Union 24 employees in obtaining their STSC (Safety Training Supervisor Construction) certificates through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. This local training led to a Safety Summit for Ironworkers in 2015. The International Ironworkers saw the benefit of this certification training and are offering support nationally. Locally, 61 ironworkers are now certified; nationally 650.

o Chris has also helped High Voltage Linemen. He was involved in Local Union 111 High Voltage Safety Committee Alliance. He was a member of Task Team II, National High Voltage Partnership for five years.

 Has participated in numerous VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) audits. He has been a team leader. He has provided SGE training sessions at the National VPPPA for 6 years and locally in Denver. Spoke at the National VPPPA four times. o Columbus, OH OSHA Area Office was the first OSHA VPP Site in the nation

 Was a member of the DFSHC, serving on their board and offering training.  Pleased to accept eight awards during his time with OSHA – including three Secretary Exceptional Achievement Awards and a Chairman’s award. He graduated from Franklin University with a degree in Business. He continues to be an OSHA 10 and 30 hour trainer in construction.
