2016 13TH ANNUAL POSTERS IN THE ROTUNDA: Showcasing UW Undergraduate Research PARTICIPANT INFORMATION

1. All participants are invited to attend a meeting on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 4:30-5:15 pm in the MISSISSIPPI ROOM at the Markee Student Center.

2. Poster boards are 5.5 feet wide and 3.5 feet tall. Your poster should fit within these dimensions. *Space is limited.

3. Each student or student group is asked to create a 1 page flyer including the names of the participants, presentation title, and a brief abstract of the project.

4. Students are expected to dress formally for the event and present themselves in a manner fitting as representatives of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. The URCE Office will furnish advice for presenting projects in a manner that is well received.

5. Student participants will be contacted by the Office of Publications. Office writers will be doing feature stories and press releases on the event participants. This information will be shared with hometown news sources, State Legislators, and our campus website.

6. Each student will need to complete a DAY TRIP/Emergency Contact Form and turn it back to the URCE Office at 515 Pioneer Tower or at [email protected]

7. The Legislative Liaison for our campus will be organizing visits to Legislative Offices during the Posters in the Rotunda Event.

8. The URCE Office has reserved mini vans for transporting participants to the event. If you wish to ride with the group, please contact the URCE Office at [email protected] or 342.1983. If you prefer, you may drive yourself. *Private vehicle costs cannot be reimbursed.

Tentative Schedule: *Participants are required to stay for the entire event Time Activity 8:30 – 9:30 am Poster set-up 9:30 – 10 am Group Photo and Welcome 10 am – 3 pm Posters Display 11 am -1 pm Box Lunches Available 1 – 2 pm Presentation of Certificates 3 – 3:30 pm Dismantle posters
