What Is Love Ut Give Ut?

WHAT IS LOVE UT GIVE UT? Love UT Give UT is a 24-hour online event that encourages everyone to contribute to State of Utah’s nonprofits and schools through an online giving platform.

GIVE, ENGAGE, IMPACT - At the Community Foundation of Utah, we take these three words to heart. And we want to provide you with the opportunity to do the same. Love UT Give UT brings together all Utahns for 24 hours of giving, allowing you to explore the many organizations that make our state great. Every donation you make during Love UT Give UT will help qualify your favorite organization for challenge grants and prizes, which will further the impact of your generous gift.

Love UT Give UT will take place on March 30, 2017

GOALS Love UT Give UT’s vision is that every person contributes to the organization of their choice. We have four simple goals:

 Grow philanthropy - Create a fun and engaging way for all Utahns to learn about critical issues impacting our state and inspire them to be a philanthropist.

 Grow revenue - Bring new donors to the organizations that make our state and its future strong.

 Grow capacity - Build a permanent online giving platform so that all charities – no matter where they are, who they serve, or how big their budget – can access online giving, now and for years to come.

 Grow community - Love UT Give UT is a day for Utahns of all backgrounds and beliefs to come together to raise as much money for nonprofit organizations and schools as possible.

THE NEED  The median nonprofit organization raises less than 1 percent of its funds online – even though it is far cheaper than other fundraising methods.

BENEFITS TO NONPROFITS  Get in front of more supporters. Love UT Give UT’s search function will help nonprofits of all sizes reach thousands of new potential donors.  Reduce fundraising costs. Raising $1 online costs 7 cents, as opposed to 20 cents for grant writing or up to $1.25 to acquire new donors through direct mail.  Increase giving. Fun and compelling campaigns will engage new givers and inspire current givers to donate even more.

BENEFITS TO DONORS  Find, learn about and contribute to local programs that support the causes in which they believe.  Make online donations quickly and easily to any U.S.-registered 501(c)3 by credit or debit card. All donations on Love UT Give UT will be made to the Razoo Foundation, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization which permits donors to advise a regranting of their donations to other IRS recognized qualifying 501(c)3 organizations.
