Superior A’s Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by Steve Pellinen at 6:00 PM

Thirty Seven members were in attendance.

No Treasurer’s report this month, due to Steve’s request to save time for the quest speaker.

No communications.

Pictures from the Apostle Island fall 2013 tour and an engine rebuild were on display.

Doug Oliver will list tours planned for this summer. One new tour to the Hanka Homestead Heritage Day on August 23, 2014 was brought up at the meeting. Members were reminded to sign up for the scoot & shoot on May 31st and the tour to Larry and Sandy Carlson’s on June 14

Anyone interested in working on the engine rebuild project, Bill Carlson on M-35 has offer his garage to work on the job.

Reminder of maintenance day in May at Heritage Motors. Steve copied an article from the Restorer magazine on distributor repair and made them available.

After talking with a local attorney on the MAFCA liability forms it was decided to use one form and cover all 2014 club activities.

Next Dick Kierzek presented information on the upcoming Scoot & Shoot. EAR MUFFS or EAR PLUGS and EYE SAFETY GLASSES ARE REQUIRED. Many different targets were discussed. BB, Pellet, 22’s, Rifles, & Pistols are welcome. Lunch will depend on how many sign up.

Steve got a call from Lou Presnick, who is with a group calling them self’s [Drive One]. They would like to get young people involved with learning about cars. This is just in the early development stage and Steve met with them to see if our club might fit in their plans. No action at this time.

Norm Johnson let the club know that our original hats are still available at $13.00. He also asked for more copies of the current roster.

Diane Pellinen was in attendance to take orders for the new T-Shirts & Sweat Shirts. Order by May 16th. 906-485-1552

Paul Wilson brought in bags of potatoes for those who wanted them. Thanks Paul. Further discussion on the money put aside for youth to buy parts for their Model A’s that they are working on will be on next month’s agenda.

Next meeting, last Tuesday in May will be at Norm Johnson’s garage.
