Mike Held Chief Quality Officer
Mike Held joined DURA Automotive Systems in June 2014 as Chief Quality Officer. In this role he will lead all Quality Management Systems and programs including Quality Planning and Assurance, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Lessons Learned Management, and he will be charged with the implementation of Best Practices to assure maintenance of all applicable quality certifications.
Mike is a results-oriented leader bringing DURA more than 30 years’ experience in Quality Systems Deployment across automotive, powertrain and industrial manufacturing enterprises. Mike joins us from the Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations practice of Deloitte Consulting where he led OEM and Tier 1 supplier transformations in APQP deployment, product safety and quality improvements and product launch risk reduction. Prior to this role, he spent 8 years with Grant Thornton LLP, as Consulting Director, leading supply base transformation projects for Ford Motor Company. Mike began his automotive career with General Motors in 1984 serving 15 years in key positions including Lean Manufacturing Leader and Supplier Manager for Powertrain Operations, Chief Quality Officer for Powertrain Transmissions in Strasbourg, France; and assignments as Vehicle Manager for multiple manufacturing operations.
Mike received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and his MBA from University of Michigan. rev. 6-30-14
