Make Google Your Home Page (GEN 8/10/12)

1. Open Internet Explorer or the browser of your choice. 2. Click in the Address pane, it highlights. 3. Type google.com then press Enter. Google opens. 4. Click on the Tools icon (top right), then Internet options… See Fig 1 5. Click the Use current button then OK. See Fig 2 6. These instructions may vary with different browsers, Google your question… 7. Enjoy!

Fig 2 Some Searching Tips when using Google  If you want specific words in order; put them in quotes, i.e. “prince madoc”.  Use a minus sign (–) in front of a word to eliminate it from the search, i.e. -dog  To find a map to someone’s house enter their name and Zip Code. If they are unlisted enter their address.  Wikipedia is a site that will vary often be at or near the top of your search. It is an open source online free encyclopedia. It is a great resource and contains a tremendous amount of information. However; regardless of where you search online it is easy to have your bias’s confirmed.
