EDUCATION:

Master of Science: Awarded in 1984 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Attended the Department of Nursing, School of Public Health, Fall, 1982 through August, 1984.

Graduate study: Attended Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, 1979 through 1981. Nine (9) credit hours in education.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing: Awarded in 1977 from Indiana University. Attended Indiana University at Bloomington, 1973-1974; Indiana University at Indianapolis, School of Nursing, 1974-1977. Minor in Psychology.

Staff nurse: Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Indiana. Normal Newborn Nursery, primary nursing care to newborns, 24-40 hours per week, Summer, 1989.

Outreach nurse: South Bend Community Health Center, South Bend, Indiana. Outreach to migrant farm workers in north central Indiana, 5 county area. Spent 20 hours per week in the migrant farm camps providing health assessment, health education, and referral information. Summer, 1985.

Staff nurse: (Full time and part time) North Carolina Memorial Hospital, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Primary nursing care to premature infants. February, 1982 through August, 1984.
