Service Policy *Followings are extracted from the Picasso-m (bizhub PRO 950) Service Concept summarized at the Product Commercialization Meeting in October 2007.
By effective use of resources (training, educational materials, Service Laungh Guide, etc.) that were prepared for bizhub PRO 920 (Picasso), provide sales companies with necessary information for product support including differences from the conventional model for their efficient and effective preparation for service launch. Feedback the necessary items to be reflected on the new product as production entry model based on the problems and field demands summarized through the initial field quality control program of the bizhub PRO 920 (Picasso), and such items will be verified and corrected.
Service Training/Educational Material Service Training: The training will be conducted in e-Learning (WBT) as there are less changes from the bizhub PRO 920 (Picasso).
Educational Material: Cerate an e-Learning materials for differences from the bizhub Pro 920 (Picasso)
Service Parts related With checking the parts shipment result for the bizhub PRO 920 (Picasso), strictly keep the schedule of the initial materials related to the new product (Parts Guide Manual, Initial Parts Supply, Pricing List), and improve the accuracy of inventory management after launch.

Initial Quality Control Program
Target is to make stable its product quality by managing and improving initial quality. Because of this activity, product reliability does not only improve within initial stage, but also achieve the target service profit. In addition to that, improve our customer (end users and dealers) satisfaction.
1st Support Stage
Outline of activity The 1st support stage is for six months from the earliest date of product launching among BUS, BEU and BJ. Depending on the product quality status, the period may be extended. During this period, PP Support Dept. 2 strengthens the cooperation system with the sales companies and BT internal organizations, and focuses on collection and correction of problems.

Actions for Out-of-Box Problems Sales companies are requested to report every out-of-box problem to PP Support Dept. 2 immediately after each occurrence. Please use CSES IQR installation report for communication.

During the 1st stage, please report machines with out-of-box problems immediately. To check the condition and collect field data, please output the lists (image related, counter, etc.) and attach them on each report. If any problem is seen on the image, please also attach image samples taken before and after the corrective action on the site. The samples should be the ones show clearly the problem symptom. PP Support Dept. 2 makes a first reply within 24 hours (business day) after receiving each report from sales companies. PP Support Dept. 2 also informs sales companies whether it is necessary or not to send back any parts for problem analysis.
Actions for I nitial F ailure s In case of problem occurred within one week after installation of the product, it should be reported with IQR_Service Call on CSES attention to PP Support Dept.2. During the 1st stage, please report initial failure immediately as IQR_Service Call on CSES. Other actions are the same with Out-of-Box Problems. Note: Above mentioned "Problem occurred within one week" doesn't contain incidental jam and errors in operation caused by users.
2st Support Stage Outline of activity The 2nd support stage is for six months after the end of the 1st support stage. Depending on the product quality status, the period may be extended. During this period, PP Support Dept. 2 focuses on verification of effectiveness of the corrective actions implemented against problems during the 1st support stage. The field support stage ends by the end of the 2nd stage. After that, each sales company takes the leading role in the local support activities.

Carrying the products must be done by appropriate numbers of persons. (Weight of main body: 285kg) Handles for carrying main body should be used in the right way. See Installation Manual. Pay attention when carrying the device at stairs and where there is bump. Follow the local regulation when packing material is discarded. Stopper for preventing falling down must be attached.
Installation space Select a flat and stable place that can sustain the machine’s weight. The machine weight is 467kg when the main body is installed with DF, FS611, PI506, LU407, MK721, and TU502. Secure sufficient installation space to perform print operation, consumable supply and replacement and periodical replacement comfortably. The dimensions will be W3,672mm x D1,930mm (necessary to secure the area of 200mm at the product back side and 100mm from the left and right sides) when main body and above mentioned

1) ISW with ISWTrns Software for Windows that rewrites firmware of machines connecting between main body and PC with parallel cable or USB cable as local connection.
Caution: When installing USB driver through ISW Trns, connect the USB cable to the main body before turning on the main body power switch. If the USB cable is connected while the main body power is ON, the PC may recognize the main body as unknown device and USB driver installation may be failed.
2) Internet ISW System that rewrites program of machines with connecting main body to networked environment using main body NIC. It rewrites the program with downloading the firmware from program server though internet using FTP or HTTP protocol.
