PURPOSE OF POSITION: To work alongside the Marketing Manager & creative department to meet the graphic design needs of the company and our wholesaler network. The company seeks a competent and creative designer that will consult with the sales team, wholesalers and vendors to determine visual requirements that support the organizations business goals. The candidate will need to be a creative, bright, imaginative, flexible and capable designer with strong communication skills commensurate with the environment within a small corporation.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Graphic Designer is responsible for the conception, execution, and delivery of a very broad range of materials and projects for print and interactive platforms. Can effectively communicate and coordinate with the in-house design team, social media coordinator, marketing manager, pos manager and sales team to ensure that the visual design is consistent with corporate branding & messaging. Ultimately delivering successful, quality marketing materials to our wholesaler network. The candidate must be capable of leading creative aspects of a project and demonstrate strong project management skills.
REQUIREMENTS: -Resume & sample sheet (work examples/portfolio) -BA degree in Graphic Design/Communication Design (Visual Communications) -Minimum of 2 years experience as a graphic designer in the field -Proficient in current design programs on a Mac platform: Adobe CS5 Software Suite, Microsoft Office with a strong understanding for PowerPoint presentation design -Strong and flexible design abilities with solid conceptual skills while maintaining brand standards, as well as push brand development -Understanding of and experience in corporate branding, layout, and global practices in both print and digital media -Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure with limited resources -Ability to work independently on strategic issues -Ability to work with a large variety of projects of varying complexities ranging from advertising, design, interactive to packaging -Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills -Attention to detail -Ability to be flexible with project and time management -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Ability to work well with other personalities EXAMPLES OF MATERIALS DESIGNED: -Programming Materials that will change year to year -Banners -Price Cards (case cards) -Table Tents -Posters -Cooler Resets and Stickers -Danglers and Displays -POS items -Billboards -Transit advertising -Print/Publication Ads -Wall graphics -Outfield signage -Web banner and landing pages -Decals -Slide Shows -Sell Sheets -PowerPoint Presentation -Packaging resizes and redesign
