PRESIDENT BOARD OF DIRECTOR REPORT April 9 th , 2016 STATE OF PCR

 BOD EVALUATION o Nominations for 2015: President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership, Education and Communication. In July 2015 it was decided to not have a Public Relations Director and to divide those duties. Online voting was held Sept 2015 o Paula Tashjian, Membership Director, had to resign in January from the BOD due to personal reasons. Joyce Moss, Incoming Membership Director, was appointed by the BOD to finish Paula’s term. o Ad Hoc positions: Candace Miller/Scholarships; Public Policy/VACENT need to recruit; Historian –need to recruit o Nominations Committee: Chair, Appointed at 2014 BOD meeting: Linda Shiraishi due to family issues had to step down. Deborah Zoricar is the only committee member at this time. BOD appointed Deborah Zoricar as Committee Chairman. Need to recruit another members o Regonline registration site was used for this conference registration  FINANCIAL REVIEW o Refer to Treasurer’s report o Proposed 2016 Budgets submitted by BOD’s at BOD Budget meeting in July and were finalize Jan 2016 at teleconference. o 2015 Vice President doing monthly audit of Bank account o Audit Annual refer to Treasure’s report o WOCN Regional Affiliate Financial report was submitted to Heather Martinek with WOCN National office in January. See Treasurer’s report o We only had one new Director to transition. This was done via phone and an external drive was sent to Joyce from Paula. BOD decided to do a teleconference meeting prior our PCR Regional conference.  STRATEGIC PLAN o Current Plan ended Dec 2015. The 2016- 2020 Strategic Plan is posted on the PCR web site. It was complete Aug 1, 2015 at the Budget meeting.  BY-LAWS o Standardization with WOCN National By –laws posted on PCR Website. These new Bylaws were proposed to the Membership and passed at General Membership Meeting via vote 2015. No changes recommended at this time o SUBMITTED: Donna Rositani, BNS, CWOCN, President of PCR March 24, 2016  POLICY AND PROCEDURES o Reviewed at BOD Budget meeting 8/1/15 .Will review again this July.  CONTINUED RESPONSE TO CHALLENGING ECONOMIC CLIMATE: o Annual conferences to continue to alternate between Northern and Southern CA. 2017 Conference will be in Newport Beach. o Event Planner contract (Marie Ziegler) confirmed for 2-year period through 2017 conference- We will be exploring other options that may not have a cost to PCR after this contract expires. o Teleconferences continue for conducting majority of PCR Board meetings during year o Youth Rally donation at $2000.00 for 2016  CALENDAR UPDATES o July Budget Meeting will be in July 2016. Location will be Burbank as it is centrally located  SCHOLARSHIPS: o See Scholarships report 2015 . 2 Winners of Gene Gallindo award. Each for $400.00 . 2 Awards of the PCR WOC scholarship were given out. One for $1000.00 and the other for $ 500.00  TELECONFERENCES: TBD –see 2016 Calendar  ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES o WOC Nurse in Washington program still on hold due to national budget. PCR will supports attendance by President or Policy chair to WOC Nurse in Washington if it is resumed o Post conference offerings are scheduled for 2016 PCR conference. Still open spaces on Sunday. o Presidents meeting and Leadership meeting attended in 2015 at the WOCN Conference by Donna Rositani. Donna Rositani will be attending the Leadership meeting prior to WOCN National conference June 2016 o PCR represented at 2015 WOCN Conference in San Antonio with a booth- Good traffic and representation by volunteers from PCR membership. Drawing for 2 free Conference fee to PCR’s 2016 Conference. o PCR Social at National WOCN –well attended and excellent feedback received. Recognition for accomplishments of PCR members at WOCN social, as well as recognizing new WOC nurses and first time attendees of WOCN Conference. o Mentorship list updated o Award criteria deadline was Dec 31.2015 BOD reviewed nomination and awards given at this GMM o National WOCN Conference Quebec, Canada June 4-8th 2016

Please come if going to National WOCN. o Teleconference for booth task force will be held in May 2016 in preparation for WOCN National Conference PCR booth. We need volunteers to man the booth. Join us it is fun. President will coordinate and has already requested a room. We will be serving wine. o BOD did purchase a PCR Banner to be used at PCR and at National WOCN conference.
