PSOA Membership Meeting Minutes—17 November 2016

Meeting called to order at 6:31 at the Grafton Middle School – meeting was held in the Cafeteria.

* New Members – 2 – stood up and introduced themselves Note: Mark Rader feels there were more members at the meeting but didn’t sign in 1) Minutes from the October meeting were posted on the PSOA website  Motion made to accept the minutes was made, seconded and approved.

2) New members were at the meeting – Evan Winters

3) Treasurer’s report  217 checks were processed for $67,313.50 processed for the month of October’s games.  Checks were handed out at the end of the meeting. Remainder will be mailed  4 refund checks to High Schools – they pay in advance and sometimes don’t reschedule.  No other expenses incurred that required payments

4) Assignor information – each assignor present gave a quick summary of what was happening - Adult – Don Reese: Final Fall Season games were set, will start Winter Season soon - York/Poquoson – Cathy Fond: Fall Season over. Thanks to all who jumped in to support. - NNRec – Steve Kinney – Season over, no issues - MAPL – Mark Rader for Sean Kent – have not heard of any issues. League is paying PSOA on time. - PAA – Mark Rader for Sean Kent – season over - VSLI – Antonio Araiza – no issues - Tournament on Nov 20th - IOW/SCC – Jack Zamora – Season over, no issues - State Cup – Antonio Araiza – Great season - High School – Mark Rader : Private School Season complete. Don Reese to put out additional information in January on HS Clinic (in person must attend – not online) and Test (online).

Old Business

5) General Discussion and Topics:  Business cards available.  Use of Grafton Middle School for meetings. o Proof of insurance taken care of by Ross small o Jim Orband coordinated use of school for 2016/2017 school year.

New Business

6) Discussions:  Presidents/State Cup Report – Don Torrenti (assignor) o Well Represented – Semis and Finals Oct 29/30, Nov 5/6 o PSOA was represented by: . Jeff Lord – Mentor . JC Griggs – Semis/Finals . Patrick Griggs – Semis . Lydia Dunlevy – Finals . Jason Green – Semis . Duane Paquette – Semis . Jeremy Stanley – Semis/Finals . Neil Morrissette – Semis/Finals  Grade 8 Recert Clinics o Jeff Lord indicated classes are going to be posted soon  December Meeting – Pizza Party o Members are welcome to bring something to share – desserts, etc. o Association photos – wear a black jacket, shirt, PSOA warmup.  Elections – during Annual Membership Meeting – January 19th, 2017. o Need to come and vote. Quorum required for valid election results.

Training 7) Jeff stood up and we discussed various ad-hoc topics. No formal presentation available tonight as training director was out of town.

8) Next meeting will be December 15th – Grafton Middle School - Meeting announcement will be sent out in advance
