Join us and work closely with our Director and Managing Director within our Public Finance group to assist in managing and monitoring our credit risk exposure. Help us implement and execute our credit risk function while providing recommedations to the Senior Credit management team.

Major Responsibilities:

 Assist Director and Managing Director in monitoring and managing the credit exposure within Public Finance portfolios and individual transactions.  Responsible for the implementation of the credit risk management function, providing recommendations to the senior Credit management.  Role at this level will eventually take full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.  Responsible for in-depth knowledge of Public Finance subsectors and current events utilizing internal and external sources.  Prepare detailed credit analyses and required credit application according to policy including evaluation of loan purpose and structure, repayment sources, liquidity, historical and projected financial performance and capital structure.  Continuously identify opportunities to enhance Credit Risk reporting and processes.  Assist in management and control of credit applications. - Facilitate the underwriting approval process.  Work with business line co-operatively and constructly, while maintaining credit discipline.  Maintain and monitor compliance reporting requirements.

Qualification:

 3-6 years of experience in banking or financial services. - Extensive portfolio management experience and ability to handle refinancing of existing loans.  Sound knowledge of municipal credit analysis, municipal ratings, accounting, legal/documentation, and municipal marketplace.  Excellent communication and networking skills. Ability to work well with other professionals.  Proven ability to meet deadlines.  Professional writing skills  Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.  Strong administrative skills, knowledge of loan administration and accounting procedures.  Excellent analytic and quantitative skills.
