Board Meeting Minutes August 19, 2014 7pm

Agenda Items:

 Tax Exempt Status. We received a letter that our federal income tax exemption has been finalized.

 Girls’ Season. There will be seven girls on Varsity and eighteen girls on JV this upcoming golf season. Due to the large number of JV girls, coach will schedule double matches so everyone will get an opportunity to play at least once a week. We are requesting a $275 donation per player which includes: the two shirts, one skirt, one jacket, balls, green fees and range balls for the season. This fee will also pay for shirts for the coaches. We will have a mandatory parents’ meeting on September 9 at 7:00 p.m. in Coach Marquez’ room (Room 227). Eric will draft a letter to the parents to be handed out. Sports clearance day will be on Friday, August, 22 at 1:00 p.m. All forms should be turned into the Financial Office.

 FVHS Golf Logo Stickers. Mary provided a sample of the FVHS logo sticker for the Golf Teams. There is a discount if we order in groups of 20. It was decided to order 60 stickers.

 Money Out – Reimbursements to Coach Keyser for fees at Mile Square and range balls.

 Coach Keyser Update

 Off-Season for Boys: Coach Keyser and Coach Kols will offer an off season program for the boys. There must be at least 10 boys participating. They are requesting payment of approximately $900 each to run the program. Coach Keyser will draft a letter to see how many players are interested. It was decided that the donation amount will be $200 for the fall semester.

 Off-Season for Girls – The girls’ program will be restructured for the spring and will be revisited at a later date.

 Fundraising

 Car Wash/Bake Sale: It was decided to have another Car Wash/Bake Sale tentatively set for Saturday, October 4 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Coach Keyser will put in a request with the Activities Director.

 Donation Letters: The girls’ team will send out sponsorship fundraising letters. Each player should complete at least 5 sponsorship letters to family and friends asking for monetary donations. Packets will be sent home with the girls to complete and return to Coach Keyser. It would be nice to send a thank you postcard acknowledging any donations received. FVHS Golf Booster Club

 Other Items

 A date for the girls’ team pictures will need to be determined.

 We still need to present a thank you plaque to Sam’s Club for their contributions to the Booster Club.
