Look, New to the tsna conference this year… JEOPARDY

Do you love watching Jeopardy at home? Did you ever wish that you could play in a live game of Jeopardy and show everyone just how much you know? Here is your chance to prove to everyone that you know your stuff about school food service as we get ready to play… “School Nutrition Jeopardy.”

You and your teammates will be competing for the honor of being crowned… TSNA Jeopardy State Champions – 2007.

Here is how to enter…  Coordinate through your district’s School Nutrition Supervisor/Director and put together a competition team of four (4) members and up to (2) alternates to compete in the TSNA version of School Nutrition Jeopardy. (Only four members will compete.)  Only one team per school district will be allowed to compete.  Your team can have members from all aspects of your school nutrition programs except for central office staff. All school level personnel are welcome to compete including… cafeteria managers, assistant managers, cooks, servers, and cashiers.  Submit your list of team members no later than Monday, June 4th to: Gary Anderson, Supervisor of School Nutrition Murfreesboro City Schools 2552 S. School Nutrition Jeopardy is played exactly like the TV game except with four members from each team working together to answer the questions instead of one person. You have to be quick and know your stuff to be a winner. The Championship questions will be developed by the State School Nutrition Office and the final judges on each answer will be members of the state staff. Some Competition Categories will be: Rules & Regulations, HACCP, Offer vs. Serve, Healthy Edge, Bread/Grains, Who’s Who, and more.

Qualifying will begin at 9:00am on Tuesday, June 19th. Teams must be at the assigned qualifying location at their scheduled time. Qualifying locations and times will be posted at registration. Failure of a team to show up for their scheduled qualifying time will automatically disqualify them from the competition. To get to the finals, your team will have to work your way through the qualifying rounds to get to compete on the big stage…. Live on the closed circuit TV during the Big Grand Finale Evening.
