Pre-Arrival Checklist for a New Staff Member

PRE-ARRIVAL CHECKLIST FOR A NEW STAFF MEMBER Once the candidate has accepted the position the Manager must prepare so the new staff member has everything they require to start work on their first day. This can include  Organise Security pass / keys  Assign a Buddy/mentor  Book the employee into the next scheduled Corporate Orientation  Arrange computer set up with email address/logins/system access  Order a name badge  Diarise the start date and time so you are there to welcome them on the first day.  Inform the new staff member of what time to arrive, where to park, how to dress, where to go/who to ask for and what activities to expect of their first day.  Inform reception or other relevant staff when a new employee is starting so that they are not treated as an unknown intruder on their first day.  Inform immediate team members so they are not taken by surprise when introduced to the new person but, rather, offer a warm welcome.  Assign the appropriate responsibilities to personnel who will be participating in the orientation of the new staff member.
