Submitting Chemicals for Surplus

1. Log in to Chematix using your Auburn username and password.

2. Click the “Inventory” tab in the orange toolbar.

3. Click “View My Inventory Report”

4. Select the box next to the name of your lab. Click “Search Active Lab Inventory”.

5. A list of chemicals will be generated for the containers associated with that lab. Check the box next to the barcode for the desired chemical. You may click more than one container at a time.

6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Change Surplus Status”.

7. On the Change Surplus Status Screen, select the appropriate condition of the container from the dropdown menu.

8. Click “Change Surplus Status”.

9. The container is now listed as a surplus container. Move the containers to your Satellite Waste Accumulation Area to await pickup.

10. Send an email to [email protected] to notify the Chemical Inventory team that you have surplus chemicals for pickup. Please include the laboratory room number and a contact phone number in the email.

2. Once you have found a chemical on that list that you would like to have in your lab, email [email protected] with the chemical name and barcode. Also include your laboratory room number and a contact phone number in that email.

3. A Chemical Inventory team member will contact you with a delivery date. The team member will also add the chemical container to your Active Lab Inventory.
