The School Board Of The Graford Independent School District Met In A Regular Meeting

The School Board of the Graford Independent School District met in a regular meeting, Thursday, January 26, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., with the following members in attendance: Travis Rogers, Jeff Lemley, Megan Ragle, Lonnie Dixon, Rowdy Glover, and Dennis Holt, Superintendent.

President Travis Rogers called the meeting to order There was a quorum present Invocation was given by – Elementary Principal, Wes Corzine / 2nd Grader Lilly Ruddy Pledges US Flag – GISD 2nd Grader, Gatlin Simmons, TX Flag – GISD 2nd Grader, Luke Heath Absent: Eddie Laney, Branden Waters Public Forum

6. Motion by Ragle, seconded by Glover, to approve appointments to the District Advisory Committee as presented: HS Principal – Lori Henderson, Elem. Principal – Wes Corzine, HS Teacher/Coach – Ty Tabor, Elem. Teacher – Jamye Hayes, Tech Director – Chris Thompson Motion Carried: 5 – 0 For: All members present Against: None

7. Motion by Lemley, seconded by Ragle, to approve the contract with the Palo Pinto County Elections Administrator Motion Carried: 5 – 0 For: All members present Against: None

8. Motion by Glover, seconded by Ragle, to approve and call the Graford ISD Trustee Election for May 6, 2017 Motion Carried: 5 – 0 For: All members present Against: None 9. Consent Agenda a. Approve the minutes of the December 15, 2016 regular meeting b. Financial and expenditure list c. Investment Report

Motion by Lemley, seconded by Dixon, to approve the consent agenda Motion Carried: 5 – 0 For: All members present Against: None

The Graford ISD School Board went into Closed Session at 8:22 p.m. and came out at 9:10 p.m. Govt. Code 551.074 No motions or votes were made in closed session it was for discussion only

Motion by Dixon, seconded by Lemley, to approve adding Zola Crabb to the substitute teaching list Motion Carried: 5 – 0 For: All members present Against: None

Motion by Ragle, seconded by Lemley, to approve adding Wanda Elam to the substitute teaching list Motion Carried: 5 – 0 For: All members present Against: None
