A qualified SMMT trainer competent to deliver recognised International Automotive Task Force (IATF) ISO/TS16949: 2002 Certification Body Auditor Training and Qualification. He is also the UK technical expert on the IATF training commission. Prior to joining SMMT Paul had 15 years working with 3rd Party Certification and 15 years working in the Automotive Supply Chain. Paul is a qualified engineer specialising in Material Science.

One of the five global oversight mangers responsible for the management of the ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification scheme, he also operates as the IATF scheme facilitator for IATF, Oversight and Training Commission. Prior to been appointed to his current position in 2003 he spent 7 years with SMMT working with organizations implementing Lean Manufacturing principles both with Automotive and Aerospace Organizations. Prior to joining SMMT Rob had 10 years working in Quality Management in the Automotive and Defence Supply Chains.
