Attract New Members

CCSC has been using Facebook for attracting new members. It is design to target people interested in any form of aviation. Tom McDonald has documented a process to make this work effectively and at a very low cost. (A fraction of traditional advertising)

Buck O’Conner is a producer of children’s shows which air regularly on PBS. He is now preparing a PBS program featuring the 2015 Caesar Creek Youth camp.

Instructor Standards Larry Kirkbride who previously ran the Ohio State Flight Training Program is now focused on improving flight instruction standards at CCSC. Larry has invested well over 300 hours drafting Flight Instructor Standards. This is being coordinated with our examiner, Bob Miller The plan is to brief all active instructors on the standards and get their input and form a Standardization-Evaluation Team of approximately four instructors. The standard practices would be implemented by having each instructor fly with one of the Standardization-Evaluation Team members to demonstrate standardized procedures in order to be approved as a CCSC Instructor. This will be shared broadly once completed. Youth Camp Caesar Creek Soaring Club is planning 16th Youth Camp which is already oversubscribed. In addition to flying, the camp focuses on the following: Personal growth through goal setting, Leadership, Responsibility, Community, Preparedness, and Respect or others. Graduates from this program can be made available to assist in other Youth Camps around the country.

Adult/ Cross Country Camp at CCSC Aug 21- 26 CCSC will be hosting an Adult/Cross Country Camp. OLC will be used to test scoring for future events.
