Bachelor of Arts in Middle School Education with certifications in Communications, Reading, and Social Studies in addition to a History and Reading minor. Graduated in May 1997.

Student Teacher, Nov. 1996 – May 1997. Developed reading and writing strategies for use in the content areas. Assisted with coordinating World’s Fair Day – a school-wide seventh grade project.

Alexander County Public Schools

Teacher in the Summer Reading Program, June-July 1996. Tutored third graders in reading skills. Developed weekly center activities and lesson plans for the five week program.

CAPABILITIES: I am a dedicated individual who has accepted and participated in numerous school responsibilities. I care about students’ reading capabilities and have a strong desire to assist children in achieving their potential. Additionally, I am constantly seeking opportunities to better myself as a professional.
