MINUTES OF MEETING OF HUNDON PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY 20th SEPTEMBER 2011 AT 7.30 P.M AT HUNDON VILLAGE HALL

Action HPC0911/332 - Public Forum

Bob Shepstone reported that MPG Printwise would no longer be able to produce the Hundon Herald. Paul McGuerty will continue to produce the Hundon Herald.

Hundon PCC have requested a new flag for the Church. Cllr Geoff Spooner will contact Mr W Minshull regarding the size and quality of the flag. The Clerk was given details of costings for a new GS flag. The Clerk will investigate a new flag. Clerk

Hundon PCC would like a sign for the Church, it was suggested they talk to Cllr J Midwood (SCC).

The planned works to the Church to provide toilet and kitchen facilities will now be added to the internal structure of the Church, rather than a new structure added to the side of the Church. New costings for the work are being investigated.

Mr M Humphryes requested the Cricket Club reduce the size of the poles used to erect the cricket nets, as they protrude from the ground. The Clerk will contact the Cricket Team. Clerk

HPC0911/335 - Minutes of Meeting 19 th July 2011 (Circulated)

The minutes of the previous meeting held on the 19th July 2011 were accepted as a true records and signed by the Chairman.

In the absence of Cllr J Midwood, the attached report was read out.

HPC0911/337 – Report from Clare Police Station

In the absence of a representative from Clare Police Station a report stated their had been now crimes in Hundon since the last report.

The report was circulated in the Councillors Monthly reading.

HPC0911/338 - Progress Reports

a) Iceni Homes/Hundon’s Affordable Housing Scheme – An agreement has been reached with the land owners for Phase 3 of Affordable Housing. The scheme will now need to be agreed with the Planning Department. A meeting will be held in the Village Hall once all information is known.

b) Village Sign – The Village Sign has been removed temporarily due to a rotting post. The sign will be repaired and repainted. It has been suggested that the aircraft on the sign be removed and replace with an RAF symbol. Cllr G Spooner will obtain a price for the next GS meeting. A new post needs to be purchased and the Clerk will obtain a price for a new brass Clerk plaque.

HPC0911/339 - Community Speed Watch

Meeting opened to public.

Mick Humphrys reported 6 volunteers would be training for Community Speed Watch on Friday 23 rd September 2011. Once trained they will monitor 30mph speed limits around the village. This information will then be passed to the Police, who will take further action is necessary.

Equipment needed for the volunteers is 6 Reflective Jackets at £179.94 and signs at £150.00. All were in favour of purchasing the necessary equipment. The receipts, invoices will be passed to the clerk to reimburse Mr Humphrys.

The new toilets for the Church will now be sited inside. Revised plans and costs will be drawn up. This item will be discussed at the next meeting.

The Clerk will look to see if we have an Emergency Plan. This will be discussed in conjunction with the Parish Plan. Clerk
