Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Objective of today’s lab: Today you will demonstrate safe use Cookies of the electric mixer. Ingredients: New cooking terms: ¼ c. canola oil ¼ t. salt Mix: to combine together using the ½ c. brown sugar ½ t. baking soda electric mixer 1 egg ¾ c. oatmeal Fold: gently turning mixture over 1 t. vanilla ½ c. mini chocolate chips without stirring or beating ¾ c. flour New cooking utensils: Cookie scooper, wooden spoon, Procedure: parchment paper

1.) ______Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2.) ______Mix together oil, sugar, egg and vanilla. ______3.) ______Add salt, baking soda and flour; mix well. ______4.) ______Stir in oatmeal and then gently fold in the mini chips. 5.) ______Drop by using a cookie scoop onto a cookie tray ______which has been lined with parchment paper. 6.) ______Bake 8-10 minutes or tap the cookie with your index finger; if done, your fingertip should leave almost no imprint. 7.) ______While cookies are baking: set the table & complete lab evaluation.
