All students in the musical must submit their photo release forms and performer contracts to Mrs. Langley ASAP (they were due last Friday). Please see her in the chorus room 242. 6th grade Intramural football players make sure you check outside Mr. Brock's room (50) for you team color. Please wear your assigned color to the game today (Tuesday). The Girls Volleyball Club will meet today (Tuesday) and Thursday this week in Gym D from 2:45 - 4:00. This is a change from the original schedule. We will meet on Tuesday this week instead of Wednesday. Please see Ms. Rube with any questions. Art Club starts today (Tuesday) in Rm 56 after school. Don't forget!!! Today (Tuesday) is the FIRST MEETING of the Ford Frenzy Spirit Crew! Come to room 194 directly after school to ""get your spirit on!"" Following the meeting we will be heading out back to the 115-pound football game against Strath Haven. Can't wait to see you there. GO FORDS! A reminder, all tech crew students have Tech after school today (Tuesday) in the auditorium from 2:40-3:30. Please bring your photo release forms with you. Don't forget to have your water bottle and white sneakers. Your guardians should plan to pick you up from the bus lane in front of the school at 4:30. Is reading and writing a cool mystery something you enjoy? If so, the Logic and Mystery Club is the place for you. Starting today (Tuesday), we will meet after school in Ms. Ezra's room 184. Come join the fun, and meet new friends doing something you enjoy. The Set Design meeting for this year's musical will be tomorrow (Wednesday) in Room 56 after school The first meeting of the HMS Competition Math Club will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) after school in Room 182. Plans for participation in national as well as in- school competitions will be discussed. All students, even if you are a 6th Grader and have not handed in a Registration Form from the Activities Fair, are encouraged to attend. The meeting will last about 20 minutes. If you cannot make the meeting but would like to participate in the Club, please see Mrs. Riley in Room 182. Do you love science and want some enrichment outside the classroom? Maybe Science Olympiad is for you! Come join us for an informational meeting on Thursday after school in Ms. Fitzpatrick’s room 255! Our first Photography Club meeting is this Thursday in room 261 until 3:30. All interested 6, 7, and 8th grade students who did not get info and a permission slip already, please stop by room 261 today or tomorrow so you can join us on Thursday. Come ready to be creative and have fun. The next round of academic hullaballo - otherwise known as Quiz Bowl - will take place this Friday after school in room 152. Four big matchups on tap. Come cheer on your favorite smarty pants peeps. Check the schedule for team listings. Reading Olympics is back! Come by the library after school on October 22nd. We're going to book it up. The 7th grade girls’ volleyball team swept E.T Richardson on Friday afternoon. Shout out to Haley Greenwald on a flood of great serves. Keep working hard, Lady Fords! On Friday the 7th Grade Field Hockey team played hard to a 1 to 1 tie with Welsh Valley. Katelyn Naehr scored the only goal for Haverford. Good game, girls. The 8th grade girls' soccer team lost 3-0 against ETR on Friday. The team's defense had a remarkable game holding off the strong ETR team 1-0 until the very end. The defense was led by Lily Chupein, Lauren Johns, Kennedy Carlin, Gianna Turco, and Sarah Daly. The 7th grade field hockey team lost a very challenging game to Springfield yesterday by a score of 1 to 0. Today's game will be played behind the high school. Come on out and cheer for your friends. Congratulations to the HMS 8th Grade Field Hockey team for an outstanding victory yesterday defeating ET Richardson in a 3-0 shutout on the turf at the Haverford Reserve. It was a rematch of the team's disappointing 2014 loss and the girls rose to the occasion! HMS goals were scored by: Erin Kline, Ellie Carlson, and Connie Katcavage. Outstanding offensive & defensive performance recognition goes to center middle - Paige Corcoran. We also want to congratulate the 8th grade field hockey team for defeating Welsh Valley 2-0 last Friday, October 9th. The game was called due to a severe thunderstorm, but since the girls were able to complete a half they were awarded the victory. HMS goals were scored by Mia Ciancio and Teagan O'Neill. Way to go 8th Grade Field Hockey!
