N.K. Silverman—Honors Principles of American Democracy ORAL REPORTS Each student will pick a topic from those listed below and research it. You will give a short (5 minutes) oral presentation to the class in which you will explain the history and significance of the topic. BEFORE the presentation, students are REQUIRED to give the teacher a piece of paper on which they have written their topic and bibliography (minimum three sources) or the grade will be lowered one step. Use MLA format for the bibliography. Students may NOT use printouts or typed work for the oral. Only ONE 3” x 5” index card with hand-written notes may be used for the oral. Students are to take notes, as there will be an exam. You should immediately write in the date of your oral from the calendar.
