Welcome

Hello everyone. As we prepare for the forthcoming 2014/15 season the committee at Springhead AFC (a 'not for profit' organisation) would like to extend another warm welcome to all the parents, players, managers and volunteers who help to ensure that Springhead AFC remains an important part of the local community. The club committee has met regularly during the closed season and would now like to take this opportunity to communicate several important announcements.

Annual Players Membership Fee - Season 2014/15

The committee has identified that the annual costs for the 'playing' side of the club (i.e. pitch & match fees, league fees, training fees, equipment costs etc ...) are now well over £16,000. On this basis and having assessed annual membership fees in operation at several other sports clubs in the local area, the committee have agreed that an Annual Players Membership Fee of £181 will be paid by all players representing Springhead AFC in organised football matches next season. This £181 fee does not apply to anyone who simply wants to train with the club, anyone who wants to attend the club's Saturday morning Soccer School or members of the Springhead Veterans squad (see 'Points to Note' below).

The whole amount of £181 can be paid in full by cash or cheque now to team managers (Cheques payable to Springhead AFC). However, for those who prefer to spread the cost over a longer period, an initial deposit of £25 must be paid by cash or cheque to team managers no later than 1st August 2014 to ensure the player is eligible to play matches from the start of the new season. The term of the membership will then run from the date of payment until 31st July the following year. Payment of this fee will see the names of each member of the player's immediate family added to the 'Members Register' held behind the club bar. Immediate family members are defined as parents or legal guardians, brothers and sisters. Membership then also permits discounted bar prices and preferential terms [subject to conditions] for hire of the clubhouse and its facilities for functions and events. Proof of ID may be requested by some of our bar staff from time to time if the member is not known to them.

The remaining £156 may then be paid in full by cash or cheque to team managers or by 6 easy payments as follows:-

Amount Payment Description £ 26.00 Playing Fee 1 - Sept 2014 (Standing Order) £ 26.00 Playing Fee 2 - Oct 2014 (Standing Order) £ 26.00 Playing Fee 3 - Nov 2014 (Standing Order) £ 26.00 Playing Fee 4 - Dec 2014 (Standing Order) £ 26.00 Playing Fee 5 - Jan 2015 (Standing Order) £ 26.00 Playing Fee 6 - Feb 2015 (Standing Order) £ 156.00 TOTAL

Points to Note re Annual Membership/Playing Fees  For those wishing to pay by Standing Order, the payments must be set up by the individual and Springhead AFC receiving bank account details can be obtained from your coach Please quote the paying reference as 'Players Initial & Surname' and 'Age Group'. E.g. P Smith - U16 or for open age players A Smith - OA  By paying the annual membership fee (either in full or by Standing Order) , parents and players will no longer need to pay cash to the managers for training sessions or match days during the regular season.  Once Standing Order payments have begun, refunds will not be made by the club should any player be unable to attend training sessions or matches (except in mitigating circumstances at the discretion of the committee)  Players who do not partake in organised weekend football matches and simply wish to train, will need to pay an Annual Social/Family Membership fee of £10. Training session fees of £3 per session will then apply and will collected by each manager at their individual sessions. Membership privileges outlined above will then apply.  Saturday morning Soccer School players and members of the Springhead Veterans squad will be charged an Annual Social/Family Membership fee of £10. Failure to pay this fee will result in soccer school players being unable to partake in Soccer School sessions.  Once the initial £10 Annual Membership fee has been paid, Soccer School & Veterans members will then continue to pay weekly cash fees at their sessions.  Players who join the club mid season will still have to pay the initial deposit of £25 towards their membership fee the remainder of the membership fee will be reduced on a pro-rata basis and communicated to the player in due course via the player's Manager.  Annual 'Social/Family' Memberships are available to extended family members and members of the general public at a cost of £10.  All members will receive a Membership Card which must be produced in order to receive membership benefits
