APES a to Z Project 2008-2009

AP Biology A to Z Project 2016-17 A to Z Project Due: Friday, May 26

The Project: For each letter of the alphabet, you will take or obtain a picture that is related to AP Biology and illustrates a term from this class. For each picture, you must write one paragraph describing how the picture is related to our class. At least TWENTY of the pictures must be photos YOU have taken within San Diego County or somewhere YOU have visited. This is a wonderful way to involve your family and friends. Briefly describe when and where the photo was taken. You MUST have a caption for each photo in addition to the paragraph you write. The purpose of these photos is to relate what we have studied this year to our community and your personal experiences. *Because I want this project to be entirely your own work, you must either appear in the photograph yourself (selfies are allowed) OR include the same small object in all the photographs that identifies them as your own. **The SIX pictures that are not required to be photographs you have taken may be graphs, pictures, tables, maps, or diagrams found on the Internet or from other sources.

The Format: Your project may be turned in in ANY format – your choice! You may make a Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Prezi presentation and share or email it to me. You may print your project out and hand it in in the form of a booklet. The only requirement is that your paragraphs must be TYPED. Each paragraph should be a minimum of 5 sentences for full credit.

Plan accordingly: *The project is due on May 26, 2017.*

Reference Format: You are required to include a reference for each letter of your project FOR EACH PARAGRAPH. You must use at least five different types of references for the entire project. Types of references include: Textbooks, Encyclopedias, Newspapers, Magazines, Internet, Books, Pamphlets, Association Publications, Videos, Newscasts, Television, and others. If you have a reference type that is not listed, ask before you use it.

HAVE FUN! This is a chance to show what you have learned throughout the year. BE CREATIVE & THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX 

This is an individual student assignment. The project will be worth 52 points (two points for each letter of the alphabet).
