Homework: Homework is worth 10 points per assignment and is assigned on a regular basis to practice the daily concepts taught in class. Homework is expected to be completed the night it is assigned and returned to class the next school day in order to discuss the work on those concepts. If homework is not completed on time, students will be responsible to complete and submit the assignment late for half credit. Homework is graded on “completeness” and is therefore not graded for “correctness”. I will be posting homework assignments on my Twitter account each day.
Grades: Grades are calculated on a weighted grading scale. *Tests – 35% *Quizzes – 30% *Classwork/Participation – 25% *Homework – 10%
Grading Scale: The Susquenita High School grading scale: 100% - 93% = A 92% - 86% = B 85% - 77% = C 76% - 70% = D 69% - below = F Availability: I am available to stay after school to assist with homework, re-teach concepts, or make up tests/quizzes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 5:00 by appointment. Email is usually the best way to contact me after school hours with questions. I have also created a Teacher/Student Twitter account where I will post homework assignments and other special updates throughout the school year. Feel free to follow me in order to stay up to date with any important announcements!
Classroom Expectations: Students are expected to come to class prepared and on time on a daily basis. Students are expected to come with a positive attitude, respect for others in the classroom, and ready to learn!
Academic Honesty: Academic Honesty is expected on all work. A grade of zero will be assigned for any assignment not completed with academic honesty.
