Help Save a Life! Marrow Drive in honor of Anuradha Sapru Kohls Cheek-Swab Sample
Anuradha, daughter of Brij and Krishna Sapru of Troy is currently battling CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia), a form of blood cancer. She is in urgent need of a matching bone marrow donor. However, due to the low number of registered South Asian donors, finding a match for Anuradha could be very difficult. By signing up to be a donor, you may give the gift of life to this very special person who is also a mother of two little girls ages 6 and 8.
Leukemia and other fatal blood disorders can happen to anyone
There is only 1 in 20,000 chance of matching for South Asians while Caucasians have a 1 in15 chance. Out of 6.6 million registered donors in NMDP registry only 1% is South Asian. The more people register, the higher chances of a patient finding a match Becoming a donor is simple and free of cost.
