Deadline to RSVP for Announcements Grandparents Day Program

Reminders: September 11  Please remember that there is a city traffic sign in front of our Grandparents Day Program @ school indicating “no left turns” into the front circle drive for car 2PM (visit classrooms) drop-offs and pickups.

 We will begin using the uniform policy infraction sheets Tuesday, September 8th. Please review the policy with your child over this September 14 long weekend. Mohawks with lines and shape designs in the Cookie Dough Fundraiser head are not allowed. Kickoff

 No one can walk up to the cafeteria to pick up any students at dismissal time in the afternoons. All 1st-5th grade students that are September 21 car riders wait in the cafeteria to be called as their car comes through the front circle drive. All PreK & K car rider students are Inservice Day- No School for students dismissed from the south parking lot car rider line.

 All College Oaks’ clubs and organizations will begin soon. A gold September 24 envelope containing information about each club will be sent Open House 5:25 PM-6:45 PM home with every student no later than Tuesday, September 8th. One of our clubs will have its first meeting, Friday, September th 11 and that is Kids for Christ from 7:15 AM to 7:45 AM. We will September 30 have other clubs this year such as Sign Language Club, Fitness Club, 4-H, Library Club, Art Club and Beta Club to name a few. Fall Pictures- free dress

 Every student, PK-5, should have their ID badge by Friday afternoon to begin wearing Tuesday, September 8th. Lanyards are

This will ensure that every College Oaks student has the same identification system. Until the lanyards come in, we will continue to use the clip-on. If your child loses his or her badge, it is a $5.00 cost to purchase a new one.

 Grandparents’ Day will be held Friday, September 11th. All grandparents and honorary grandparents are invited to visit classrooms and read books with their grandchildren. Classroom visits will begin at 2:00 PM. Please send in your RSVP by Wednesday, September 9th as well as the title of your book if you need us to provide the book for you. Light refreshments will be served as well. We look forward to seeing all of our grandparents for this special occasion.

Thank you to all of our parents for such a great start to our school year. We are currently at 334 students and we are so proud of each and every one of them. Students have been making great choices and really showing what it takes to be “Super” Leaders!
