GRANT APPLICATION FORM FOR ORGANIZING SEMINAR/CONFERENCE/SYMPOSIUM/WORKSHOP

 Financial assistance to faculties is available for organizing seminars, conferences, workshops, symposia etc. and to bring out its impact at national and international level.  To provide an opportunity of exposure to faculty with international community.  To disseminate academic and research achievements to industrial and commercial establishments in Pakistan  To consolidate / share academic and research experiences/ achievements at national as well as international level.  Maximum assistance of PKR 0.5 million for an international and Rs.0.2 million for national level event will be considered. For events costing more than said limits, special approval from VC/PC will be required.  HEC/Other funding agencies should also be approached for higher amounts for National and International conferences.

Instructions / Guidelines for Application Submission: 1) Submit two (02) hard copies of this application (complete in all respects) to ORIC/RARE.

2) Applicants are strongly advised to apply to other funding agency like HEC, PMRC, etc.

3) Attach copy of the application submitted to HEC along with this application.

4) Conference/workshop/course brochure (if any), containing aims, objectives and themes with schedule of tariff in respect of registration and accommodation etc. should be attached.

5) Attach the list of expected local participants.

6) Attach the list of expected foreign participants.

7) Details of the scientific program of the event.

8) Attach Complete Budget with break-up.

9) Attach List of Facilitators/Speakers.

10) Curriculum Vitae (CVs) of Facilitators/Speakers.

11) Any other details regarding planned event is to be attached herewith.

General Rules:

 Faculty can apply for such grants, through the HOD and Dean on prescribed application Form.

 Dean shall scrutinize the proposal. He may get it reviewed from an expert and formally recommend it before sending it to RARE via Assistant Dean RARE.

 Simultaneously, such applications shall be submitted to other funding agency as HEC, PMRC, etc.

 Send a copy of the application submitted to HEC.

 ORIC/RARE will evaluate the application and seek approval from the Vice Chancellor.

 Application must be received in ORIC/RARE at least 06 weeks prior to the event to allow smooth processing of the case.
