We offer Robotics to students 5 – 15. (Younger students may join but must be able to sustain a 90-minute class) This course combines Math, Science, Engineering, and Technology. Robotics offers students a way to learn which combines all of these curriculums and have fun doing it. We will use “Lego for Education” building pieces to construct each robot. They will use the NXT programmable bricks to run each robot. The sessions are 90 minutes each week. We have directions for over 125 robots. The class will be divided into groups based on building ability. We recommend three students to one NXT. We currently charge $10.00 per child per class. The schools add what they need for the use of the space to that amount. We charge $175.00 per child per week for each summer camp.
Kits:
We provide you with a template as to what goes with each basic kit. You make these and check them monthly to make sure all of the pieces are still there. The
main kit looks like this; and the extra kit likes this.
The template looks like this: for the main kit and it is taped to the lid on the inside so the students know where each piece goes at the end of class. The extra kit has its own sheet that is put in the kit each week, this shows the extra pieces needed that week to complete the robot that they are building that are not included in the main kit. This is not taped to the kit since it changes each week. The extra kit sheet looks like this:

Directions:
We have building directions broken down in to four different categories.
Beginner – we have 10 sets of directions in this section, this are to be used in progression each getting a little harder and more in-depth as you proceed. They will acquaint the students with all of the pieces and introduce the motors and sensors.
Intermediate – we have 33 sets of directions in this section, again they get harder, use more pieces and sensors in different ways.
Advanced – we have 43 sets of directions for this section. These are hard and will take the whole 90 minutes; you will need minimum of three in each group to get done with these.
Expert – we have 40 sets of directions in this section. About 1/3 of these can be done in class with three people in a group but most of these can only be done in summer camp when the students have unlimited time to complete the robots.
Worksheets:
These include, sign in sheet templates, school flyer templates, summer camp templates and payments templates.
Programing:
We will also offer programing. To do this the student must bring their own laptop to class. We will provide you with the software and robots to program with. This will be self-paced and we will use the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education NXT Software to learn the programing. We have a programing template that the students use to track their progress with the programs. (Tablets and notebooks
