PCC MEETING MINUTES

DATE: February 11, 2015

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: Jeromy called meeting to order at 12:02 p.m.

WELCOME VISITORS: - USPS Admin Asst – Bev Freeman - Magellan – Rob Rossfeld - Gabriel Group – Paul Hawkins - Pitney Bowes – John Eberle

MINUTES: January 2015 minutes – approved

TREASURER: Mike – - Quiet month - Books are up-to-date - Bills paid - $10812 balance - $780 lunch deposit - 4 companies - $500 annual sponsorship - $1608 missing o Charged to our paypal o Fraud reports filed o $ already reimbursed o No cash going out anymore - Sponsorship not only for vendors o Name recognition o Helps to smooth out funds over the year - Let Mike know if interested

VICE-CHAIR: Jan – - Nothing to report

USPS CO-CHAIR: John B for Cathy – - PRC decision expected 3/2 - Webinars scheduled - Changes in plant o 2nd bidding cycle in process

INDUSTRY CO-CHAIR: Don for Jeromy - - Project Manager set up on basecamp - Email Jeromy if not involved - Welcome Bev who takes over for Micki - River City a no-go o 6/15 o Magic theme o Rusty working on lunch entertainment o Scorecard break out session - Bonfire o Vendors could interact with attendee - Conference meeting in March - Email to solicit additional sponsors

WEBSITE/NEWSLETTER: Mark - Cleaning up luncheon list - Minutes loaded - All events loaded on website - Nov meeting on the 10th, Tuesday - Will check on ordering lunch for multiple attendees - Set up separately? - Login as member? - Send invite to new attendees? - StarChapter not any help; too time consuming - Abandon for lunch notices - Email from Jan with choices

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE: Nothing to report

EDUCATION COMMITTEE: Peggy S - - MDP – 60 people 2 years ago - Need to recertify - Significant changes to pricing - USPS now charging tuition cost of $450 per person for 10 people - Can take test online for $90 - PCC with USPS put together our own? - Linda Bergland volunteers Cheryl Hudson - Hard copy test? - Charge $90 + room + lunch? - Sept/Oct - Clayton now delivering on-site

ANNA – hotel updates – - River City not approved - Called or researched 15 places - Marriott booked; 1 Tues open; $10000 - St Chas Convention Ctr 6/18? o Bigger than normal o Additional $3000 - Orlando not big enough - Will check Frontenac Hilton - Build space around vendor space? - Emphasis on conference - Vendors a big part of budget; keeps regular costs down - Not paid for room rental in past - Mid MO PCC already set - More sponsorships to cover costs? - Any other options for vendors to get their info out? - Acknowledgment for attending? - Jeromy not here to speak about the issue - Think of other ways for vendors to participate - Log ideas & talk about changes before next year’s conference - Same amount from vendors without booths? - St Chas Convention Center probably best option - Motion to move forward
