At Clovis North H.S. Service Learning Opportunity for Speech 1

When: March 18th (4:00pm-8:00pm)

March 19th (4:00pm-9:00pm) March 20th (8:00am- 8:00pm)

Where: Clovis North High School

2772 E. International Ave. Fresno, CA 93712 (Report to the Library)

Who: State Center Community College students

Why: Clovis North Speech & Debate will be hosting the Sierra NFL

District Championships to help determine who will represent Fresno-Bakersfield at the national championships. High School speech & debate offers students the best opportunity to prepare for college and the real world. Unfortunately, qualified judges are hard to come by. Do your part for the community and impart the wisdom you’ve acquired at Reedley College/Willow International/Madera Center/Fresno City College to the young minds in the Valley AND earn extra credit for your Speech class in the process. No experience is necessary.

And: Dinner will be provided on Thursday and Friday, and Breakfast

and Lunch on Saturday.

NOTE FROM ANNA MARTINEZ: In order to earn your 50 points credit for judging two rounds (one session), you must get your “dance card” from the judges’ table before you leave and somehow get it to her on the Reedley College campus (you may walk it in, mail it, or scan it and email it, or take a picture of it and email it). If Anna doesn’t get the dance card showing that you judged two rounds, you will NOT receive your credit!
