Speed dating is easy to do but there are limits in regards to numbers and the size of the room. We use it a the University of Nebraska-Lincoln although we do not call it speed dating but rather "Meet your fellow Huskers".. Most of the questions we used were from an older exercise that many orientation programs used which is called Concentric Circles. We use Concentric Circles at our orientation summer camp. I have attached those directions below. 40 minutes is the maximum we can keep people's attention with this program.

Although I have not done it I know many schools use" I scvngr" to create scavenger hunts for groups to complete while using cell phones. The contact for this is: Christina Dorobek [email protected]

Concentric Circles Directions 2 circles one inside another. Each person faces one person is the other circle. A topic will be given to discuss for two minutes. Then the outside circle moves to the next person for another topic.
