2009 SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGERS (SIC)

Regulations

1. This 9 round individual chess tournament is restricted to players rated under 2000. 2. The tournament will be ACF and FIDE rated. 3. The Swiss Manager program will be used for pairings. 4. Time control is 90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment from move 1. 5. All mobile phones and electronic devices are banned in the tournament hall. 6. Players rated U2000 may enter the Open (SIO) or Challengers (SIC)

1. Players may win only one prize 2. Monies will be shared in the event of a tie 3. Medals will be awarded for 1st, Best Female, Best Junior U18 and Best Junior U12 4. All medals will be awarded after applying FIDE tiebreaks

Entry Fees

FIDE Rating Entry Fee 1999-1600 A$90 Unrated A$100

All players must pay their entry fee in advance. Closing Date for entries is Sunday 12 April 2009. Overseas players must register on the Tuesday evening. No entries will be taken on the day.
