MCKINNEY APPROVAL OF MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 14, 2015 OLD BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS 1. MELISSA LOWE AND MELISSA A. KROHN FOR 5055 FOREST ROAD, PP16-D-111-X-00- 027-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1157.09 Side Yard Setbacks of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a building addition (attached garage & master bedroom) to be constructed at a 3-foot (south) side setback in lieu of the side setback for lots less than 80-feet shall be a minimum of 5-feet provided that the sum of both side setbacks shall be a minimum of 15-feet in the R-2 Single Family Residential District. 2. CATHY BEAN, MICHEAL BEAN AND JASON REBOL WITH DREAMWORKS PAINTING AND REMODELING, INC. FOR 5067 ORCHARD ROAD, PP16-D-111-Q-00-039-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1139.05 Rear Setbacks of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a building addition at a 33.5-foot rear setback in lieu of on non-conforming lots which have less area than required and where lot is less than 200-feet in depth, the rear setback may be reduced in proportion to the ratio of the depth of the lot to 200-feet (or 36-feet, in this instance) provided, however, that in no instance shall the rear setback be less than 20-feet in the R-2 Single Family Residential District. 3. JENNIE M. O'BANNON FOR 5430 LINKS ROAD, PP16-D-109-A-00-041-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1165.02 Fences and Hedges (a)(2)(3) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a 6-foot high privacy fence within the front setback in lieu of fences and hedges in front setbacks shall not exceed 3-feet in height in any district; decorative fences may be constructed in front setbacks abutting streets in the R-4 Single Family Residential District. 4. THOMAS V. TUTTLE AND MARY L. TUTTLE FOR 7066 COMANCHE TRAIL, PP16-C-079- C-00-019-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1165.01 Accessory Buildings (b) (1) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a detached garage to be constructed at a height of 17-feet in lieu of the maximum building height for accessory buildings or structures in residential districts shall be 15-feet measured from the finished grade to the roof line in the R-4 Single Family Residential District.
